•      Readers want to understand the author, so conventional spelling is important.  This year, we will work on developing proficient writing conventions, including spelling. 

        Each week, the lesson will focus on a spelling strategy that describes a common spelling rule or principle. We will also set individual goals to master "words all writers use."
