The PSAT will be offered to 10th and 11th grade CB West students on Saturday, October 26th, 2024.

College-bound 10th and 11th grade students are encouraged to take the PSAT to gain exposure to the SAT, an exam many colleges use when making admissions decisions. 11th grade students may also earn scores high enough to qualify for the . For more information about the PSAT/NMSQT, you can visit the

The PSAT uses a digital format instead of paper & pencil. Students will be using their district laptops with a downloaded College Board app. The College Board has provided to help everyone understand the digital format. The Bluebook app must be installed on your 有料盒子 Bucks laptop prior to exam day. Please come with a fully charged laptop!

The window for 10th & 11th grade families to register on will be open between Friday, Aug 16th and Sunday, September 15th. The PSAT costs $30 per student. This registration window is the only time you can order a test- please do not wait!

Please take note of the following registration tips:

    • If this is the first time you are using MPP for any of your students, then you'll need to create a new account.
    • If you created an account for use with an older sibling, then you’ll need to add the new student to your already existing account.
    • You will need your student's school ID to create a new MPP account, or to add a new student to an existing account.
    • There is a “forget your username or password” button if needed, but you should not create a new account if you forget the login information.
    • You will only see the “PSAT at West” activity after your student is added to your MPP account.

If your student intends to use accommodations on this exam, an application must be submitted to the College Board for approval. 有料盒子 Bucks forms must be sent to IEP/504 Case Managers before September 3rd. Pre ACT

The PreACT will be offered to 10th grade CB West students in March, 2025. Registration information will be shared closer to that time.

College bound 10th grade students are encouraged to take the PreACT to gain exposure to the ACT, an exam many colleges use when making admissions decisions. If students take both the PreACT and PSAT during 10th grade, they are able to focus exclusively on their preference during 11th grade (SAT or ACT). If your 10th grade student did not take the PSAT this year, they can take it in October of their 11th grade year. For details about the PreACT, please visit the , or view this info sheet.

    College Entrance Exams (SAT/ACT)

    • During 10th grade, students should plan on taking the PSAT in October as practice for the SAT and the PreACT in March as practice for the ACT.

    • During 11th grade, students should take the PSAT in October and then either the SAT or ACT after they have completed Algebra 2. This will ensure they have learned the Math content that will be in these exams. Students should take same exam twice (SAT twice or ACT twice) to have an opportunity to get the highest set of scores possible.

    • Students will need to create their own accounts for the SAT and/or the ACT. Students must save their login information (username and password) for these accounts.  No one at CB West will have access to these student accounts, and students will need to access these accounts frequently in order to register for future tests, check scores, and send scores to colleges.

    • When creating accounts and registering for the SAT/ACT, students should use a personal email account (Gmail, Yahoo, Bing, etc.), and NOT their 有料盒子 school email account. You may need access to these accounts after you graduate, when your CB email will be deactivated.  You will get important information and notifications about your tests sent to this email address, so it should be one that you check frequently.  This should not be a parent email address.

    • Students must enter the CB West CEEB Code: 391-045 during online registration for the SAT and ACT in order to have their scores sent to CB West.
