    The State of Pennsylvania mandates the following health screenings in Pennsylvania:

     

    • Vision- all students are tested each year for near and far vision.
      You will not hear from me unless your child has failed this screening.
    • Hearing- students are tested in 11th grade or every year if the student has an IEP
    • Height/Weight- all students are measured and weighed every year.
    • A BMI is then calculated.
    • Ht/Wt/BMI information is available on the Parent Portal.

      Students may be rechecked at any time during the year if a staff member or parent voices a concern. If you would like to request your child not be screened by the school nurse please email gtomaselli@cbsd.org.
